3Master of Arts(PHILOSOPHY) ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR M.A. IN PHILOSOPHY (i) Educational Qualifications: A candidate must have completed a Bachelor’s Degree (10+2+3/4 system) in any discipline from a recognized university. Preference will be given to those with a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy. Minimum aggregate marks: As per University norms. (ii) Entrance Examination: Admission may be through a university-level entrance test (if applicable). The entrance exam may include: Basic understanding of philosophical themes Logical reasoning and critical thinking General awareness and reading comprehension (iii) Language Proficiency: Proficiency in English is desirable, as the medium of instruction will primarily be Hindi. Option to study core texts in Sanskrit, Hindi, English, or other Indian languages may be provided depending on specialization. (iv) Age Limit: No upper age limit for admission, in line with UGC and NEP 2020 guidelines promoting lifelong learning. (v) Reservation Policy: As per Bihar Government and UGC norms, reservation will be applicable for SC, ST, OBC, EWS, Women, and PwD categories. (vi) Special Considerations: Candidates with a background in Yoga, Ethics, Comparative Religion, or Interdisciplinary Studies may be considered under interdisciplinary or special quota (if applicable). Working professionals, teachers, and researchers may be encouraged to apply under flexible/part-time options (if offered).

17Master of Education(M.Ed)For M.Ed • Candidates seeking admission to the M.Ed. Programme should have obtained at least 50% marks or an equivalent grade in the following programmes: (i) B.Ed. (ii) B.A.B.Ed., B.Sc.B.Ed. (iii) B.El.Ed. (iv) D.El.Ed. with an undergraduate degree (with 50% marks in each). Note: 1. Candidate belongs to SC/ST/PWD Category are eligible for relaxation of 05% marks in the programmes mentioned above. 2. Appearing Candidates may also apply for the joint entrance examination with the condition that their result must be announced before the date of admission announced by the university; else his/her candidature will be cancelled automatically without any information. • No applicant shall be admitted, who has not applied for the admission within notified time or who, on being selected for admission, does not get himself admitted within the specified time, except where the delay has been condoned by the Competent authority. • The reservation in seats shall be given as per the rules of the Government of Bihar. • Relaxation in the qualifying marks in favour of the reserved categories shall be as per the rules of the State Government. • Candidates belong to other than Bihar State shall not be given benefits of reservation policies. They will be treated as a candidate of general category.
